Content Bag

Privacy policy

Effective 4 November 2026

Content Bag (the Android and iOS app, and the website and web app at cbag.app) is made by ShatsDev, an independent developer. This policy explains what data Content Bag handles and why. In short: no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell your data.

Without an account

You can use the app without signing in. Your links, folders, notes and settings are then stored only on your device. Nothing is sent to us.

When you save a link, the app downloads that page (or, for YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo and Reddit, their public preview service) directly from the website to get its title and picture, just as a browser would. Those websites see your device's IP address under their own privacy policies.

With an account

Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and lets you sync your bag across devices and open it at cbag.app/app. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We then store:

This data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the European Union and can only be read by your own account. It is used only to provide sync and the web app.

On your device

Sharing

We don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising. The only service provider that processes it is Google (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), on our behalf.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data is kept until you delete it. Links you delete are removed from the cloud copy too. To delete your account and its cloud copy permanently, open the app, go to You → Delete account, or email us and we'll do it for you. Data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

Children

Content Bag is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
